1. Theme Installation
For the installation you need the .zip file of the theme. You can download it after the purchase in your account.
Navigate to Appearance → Themes in your WordPress backend. Click the [Add New] and [Upload Theme] buttons at the top of the Theme page. Then select the gt-passion.zip file from your computer and click [Install Now].
2. Automatic Updates
Go to Appearance → Customize → Theme Options → License to activate your license and get automatic updates. You can find your license key in your account. Please check that the license has not expired and you have not reached the maximum number of sites.
3. Logo and Site Title
You can customize or hide the title and subtitle of your website at Appearance → Customize → Site Identity. Alternatively, you can upload your own logo image and display it in the header.
4. Navigation Menus
GT Passion supports WordPress menus for the theme navigation in the header.
Go to Appearance → Menus to create a new menu. After adding your menu links, you can assign the menu to a position in the theme to display it there. To do this, click the [Manage Positions] tab on the menu page.

5. Front Page Settings
By default, WordPress displays your most recent blog posts on the home page. Navigate to Appearance → Customize → Homepage Settings if you want to set a static page as your front page instead.
6. Color Settings
You can find the color options at Appearance → Customize → Theme Options in the two sections Block Colors and Theme Colors.
In the first section Block Colors you can configure the color palette for the WordPress Block Editor. Under Theme Colors you can define the colors for important elements of the theme, such as colors of links, titles, header and footer area.
7. Typography Options
You can change the fonts at Appearance → Customize → Theme Options → Typography. By default, the theme uses system fonts. You can customize the typography for text, headings, and navigation.
Our themes only use local fonts because the integration of Google Fonts does not comply with the GDPR. You can install our plugin GT Local Fonts which will add several additional local fonts to choose from.
8. Static Page Options
The theme provides additional options for static pages. You can find them in the WordPress Block Editor in the upper right corner under Options → Theme Settings.
You can choose between two layouts for static pages (default or full width) and hide the page title if you want to use the GT Hero Image Block as title, for example.
9. Content Widths
GT Passion defines the following dimensions for the editor:
- The default width of the content area is 800 pixels.
- The width for blocks with the “Wide Width” setting is 960 pixels.
- The width for blocks with the setting “Full width” is 100%.
- The width for the page layout “Full width” (see above) is 1200 pixels.
Not all blocks have options for a wide and full width. We recommend using the GT Section Block as a container to create wider sections for these blocks.
10. Footer Widgets
The theme supports five widget areas for the footer of the website. You can add widgets at Appearance → Widgets in your WordPress backend.
Up to four columns are possible in the footer. If Footer columns are left empty, the theme automatically changes to a two- or three-column layout. A text widget without a widget title is recommended for the footer copyright widget area.
11. Defined Image Sizes
The featured images for static pages and blog posts have a defined size of 960 x 480 pixels.
12. Supported Browsers
Our themes and blocks are optimized for common browsers and support the latest versions of Firefox, Chrome, Opera, Safari and Microsoft Edge.
Support for Internet Explorer is limited. Theme options and blocks use new technologies like CSS Grid and CSS Variables, which are not available in IE. We recommend switching to a modern browser.
