1. Theme Installation
For the installation you need the .zip file of the theme. You can download it after the purchase in your account.
Navigate to Appearance → Themes in your WordPress backend. Click the [Add New] and [Upload Theme] buttons at the top of the Theme page. Then select the gt-office.zip file from your computer and click [Install Now].
2. Automatic Updates
Go to Appearance → Customize → Theme Options → License to activate your license and get automatic updates. You can find your license key in your account. Please check that the license has not expired and you have not reached the maximum number of sites.
3. Logo and Site Title
You can customize or hide the title and subtitle of your website at Appearance → Customize → Site Identity. Alternatively, you can upload your own logo image and display it in the header.
4. Navigation Menus
GT Office supports several menu positions for the theme navigation in the header.
Go to Appearance → Menus to create a new menu. After adding your menu links, you can assign the menu to a position in the theme to display it there. To do this, click the [Manage Positions] tab on the menu page.

5. Social Icons
GT Office supports the display of social icons in the header and footer.
Go to Appearance → Menus to create a new menu. Add all your social profiles as custom links in your menu. For more information, see this tutorial: Creating a Social Icons menu
6. Front Page Settings
By default, WordPress displays your most recent blog posts on the home page. Navigate to Appearance → Customize → Homepage Settings if you want to set a static page as your front page instead.
7. Layout Settings
Go to Appearance → Customize → Theme Options → Layout Settings.
You can set your company’s telephone number, e-mail address and location there. This information is displayed in the Header Bar. In addition, you have the possibility to activate the header search and the scroll-to-top button.
8. Sidebar Widgets
GT Office displays a sidebar on all blog pages. This includes all archives, categories and individual posts. To activate the sidebar, you have to add at least one widget under Appearance → Widgets in the WordPress backend.
Static pages do not display a sidebar by default. However, there are two page templates (see next point) which make this possible.
9. Page Templates
The theme supports a number of page templates, which can be selected in the Block Editor:
- Full-width Template
- No Title Template
- Full-width / No Title
- Sidebar Left
- Sidebar Right
10. Content Widths
GT Office defines the following dimensions for the editor:
- The default width of the content area is 800 pixels.
- The width for blocks with the “Wide Width” setting is 1040 pixels.
- The width for blocks with the setting “Full width” is 1360 pixels.
- The width for the page layout “Full width” (see above) is 1280 pixels.
Not all blocks have options for a wide and full width. We recommend using the Group Block as a container to create wider sections for these blocks.
11. Color Settings
You can find the color options at Appearance → Customize → Theme Options in the two sections Block Colors and Theme Colors.
In the first section Block Colors you can configure the color palette for the WordPress Block Editor. Under Theme Colors you can define the colors for important elements of the theme, such as colors of links, titles, header and footer area.
12. Typography Options
You can change the fonts at Appearance → Customize → Theme Options → Typography. By default, the theme uses Inter. You can customize the typography for text, headings, and navigation.
Our themes only use local fonts because the integration of Google Fonts does not comply with the GDPR. We use the Webfont Loader package from the WordPress.org theme team for this. Once a new font is selected and saved, the font is downloaded from Google and saved locally in the /wp-content/fonts/
folder in your WordPress installation.
13. Footer Widgets
The theme supports five widget areas for the footer of the website. You can add widgets at Appearance → Widgets in your WordPress backend.
Up to four columns are possible in the footer. If Footer columns are left empty, the theme automatically changes to a two- or three-column layout. A text widget without a widget title is recommended for the footer copyright widget area.
14. Defined Image Sizes
The theme uses these dimensions for featured images:
- The featured images for posts have a defined size of 1600 x 900 pixels.
- The header image and featured images for static pages have a defined size of 2400 x 900 pixels.
15. Supported Browsers
Our themes and blocks are optimized for common browsers and support the latest versions of Firefox, Chrome, Opera, Safari and Microsoft Edge.
Support for Internet Explorer is limited. Theme options and blocks use new technologies like CSS Grid and CSS Variables, which are not available in IE. We recommend switching to a modern browser.
